Philosophy of Patient Care

We serve as patient care advocates. We work within available resources to provide the highest quality of services to all residents. We are committed to returning our patients to their highest level of functional return. We teach compensatory strategies, provide adaptations to the environment and teach caregivers to optimize our residents’ function. We recognize that many residents have potential, however small, for rehabilitation. It is our responsibility as therapists to find a way to translate that potential into functions that enhance their quality of life.

It is critical that the therapy team play a vital role in the operation of the facility through functioning as a member of the interdisciplinary team. We participate in key meetings within the facility per facility policy and procedures. We provide clinical expertise and guidance to all departments. We serve as consultants, trainers and mentors to the Restorative Nursing Staff.

We provide accurate, succinct, timely, thorough and objective documentation. We are committed to accurate billing. All treatments are provided under physician’s orders. We are compliant with all Federal, State and local practice acts and regulations.
